Highly experienced FPGA and ASIC engineer responsible for architecting, designing, implementing and leading SDR based modem platform development. Platforms consisted of data converters(ADCs & DACs), both internal(RFSOC), as well as external over JESD, sampling from a few MHz to multiple GHz. Platforms also consisted of multiple antennas upto 64 element phase arrays, operating from 3GHz upto 60GHz. Development teams were both on-site, as well as off-shore. Experienced in implementing DSP algorithms from Matlab models into Simulink, and/or RTL(Verilog or VHDL). Algorithms included Digital Filters, NCOs, DDCs/DUCs, Digital PLLs, Digital AGC loops, Modulators/Demodulators upto 64QAM, FFTs/IFFTs, FEC(Convolutional, Turbo, Polar, LDPC) including Rate Matching, Interleaving, Correlators, CRC Checkers. Developed interfaces to control radios; I2C, MIPI, SPI, UART, vendor specific, used to control Frequency Synthesizers, ADCs, DACs, Clock generators, Phase & Amplitude control.Developed multiple ASICs for high volume Cable Set top boxes, as well as Cell Phone/PC cards. Also, multiple ASICs for Electronic Jammers in ECM systems.
