I am working on maturing the data governance ecosystem to enable projected growth of the business.

Responsible for data architecture duties on multiple projects. These duties include modeling business requirements into relational data models needed for real time applications (SQL Server) - Transforming the relational models into dimensional models in the data warehouse environment (Netezza) - Designing the staging tables, and creating the data mapping and transformation rules needed by the ETL and EAI teams - Designing and maintaining XSD's (using XML Spy) needed for the canonical environment - writing and testing stored procedures - creation of scripts needed for testing and deployment of applications - working with business users, management, project teams and developers. This environment is a combination of ETL (Data Stage) and EAI (Biztalk), and is a combination of supporting in house development as well as integration with purchased packages and outside vendors.

Providing data architecture and design , as well as partnering with the ETL group for a large system conversion project.

Management of team responsible for data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives. Responsible for Data Architecture, Solutions Architecture, DB2 Data Warehouse, Data Stage platform and developers, and Business Area relationship management.

Currently working on Embarq/ CenturyLink network billing system conversion.

Mange a team of DAs and DBAs that support billing and care applications. Databases are primarily Oracle, and we use Erwin and Powerdesigner to maintain our logical models. I also do some of the DA work, primarily Oracle based, with one SQLServer database. Included among the Oracle databases is one application based on Amdocs Clarify.
