I founded Candor Asset Advisors® in 2016, and the name was chosen for a reason: Candor - Be open and transparent. Life is too short for anything else, and you can sleep better that way. Asset - It is not just about investments. The focus is on helping clients achieve their financial goals.Advisors - We want to be considered a coach and/or educator.Our most rewarding client engagements occur when investing and financial planning intersect. When our clients see how their financial decisions impact their lives, make changes and/or prioritize as necessary and enjoy life more.A little bit about me. I have 26 years of investment management experience at Franklin Templeton, Engemann Asset Management, Century Management, and Candor Asset Advisors®. I have served as an equity analyst and portfolio manager for individual and institutional clients. This experience has helped me analyze and value public companies, see the peaks and valleys of the financial markets, and witness how investments impact clients' ability to meet obligations. Before graduate school at USC, I also worked in mortgage banking and life insurance giving me a better understanding of the real estate and insurance markets which I leverage to this day. I have earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner designations. The CFA program has been especially useful in evaluating investment securities and portfolio management. The CFP program has helped me better appreciate how tax, estate, insurance, investment, and financial planning issues intersect for families.My BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and MBA from The University of Southern California round out my background. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing golf, studying history, and traveling.
