Joined Lyons Davidson as a team leader within the New Malden office and was made an Associate in 2004.He has always kept a caseload of files which has varied in size and depending on his management duties. He has in the past acted as deputy to the group leader and is presently team leading the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) and foreign driver team.Duties included:•Running a caseload of Litigated and Non-Litigated Fast track, Multi track and MOJ cases to trial. Experience in dealing with counterclaims and providing advice to both the client and their insurers;•Acting as principle expert within the department and providing technical guidance in dealing with claims involving the MIB, foreign Defendants, credit hire claims and cycle claims. •Leading a team of up to 6 case handlers, dealing with any day to day technical and management queries;•Carrying out 1-2-1s for the team, ensuring service level agreements, key performance indicators (KPIs) and management targets are maintained;•Implementing disciplinary procedures and monitoring case handlers following disciplinary measures;•Dealing with any complaints for the team and either resolving the same or ensuring that they are referred to the compliance team;•Overseeing and running files involving problematic clients;•Completing supervisor reviews and helping case plan for the team;•Helping run file surgeries for the department in order to assess the claims prospects of success or risk;•Assisting in interviewing for new staff;•Auditing files for the whole group on a monthly basis to make sure that KPIs were met and providing feedback to the group leader and other team leaders;•Regularly attending management meetings within the department;•Representative for the company at local Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS) meetings and annual conference.•Supervisor for the out of hours call centre and completing initial needs assessments for new referrals.Fellow of the Institute of Legal

Joined P R Hanna as litigation executive. He qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal executives in 1996 and increased his experience in acting on increasingly larger multi track claims including an amputee claim. His role changed from solely being a case handler to leading a team and helping assist in the management of the office. The firm over this period grew from an office of 16 staff to over 70.Duties included:•Case handling up to 450 files to include both litigated and non litigated Fast track/ Multi track caseload including an amputee claim;•Acting as a regular advocate on applications and arbitrations ;•Helped develop a lead a team team to deal with credit hire and credit repair claims within the company resulting in this being one of the profitable teams within the company;•Continuing as a team leader with direct management of a team of up to 6 case handlers and support staff. Monitoring case loads, providing day to day advice and helping the partner deal with any disciplinary matters;•Attending management meetings for the firms and having input into the running of the office;•Helped develop the firm's case management system including developing use of processes and standard letters;
