With more than 38 years of experience in finance and real estate, Bill Hoffenberg is an experienced leader and proven executive. He is a real estate developer with expertise in finance, accounting, tax preparation and reporting, budgeting, risk management and human resources. He has been responsible for raising debt and equity, managing relationships with Wall Street funds and investment banks, and management of the development for master planned communities, golf communities, commercial property, industrial parks, residential communities, including both for rent and for sale, and other real estate ventures. Mr. Hoffenberg has served as Chief Financial Officer with The Koll Company, Sunroad Enterprises, and The Sobrato Organization, a multi-billion dollar firm that developed, owned and operated 10,000,000 square feet of commercial property and 8,000 multi-family units. Mr. Hoffenberg earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his MBA from Harvard Business School. Currently the Chief Financial Officer for Homes Built For America, Mr. Hoffenberg helps run the organization with direct responsibility to raise new capital, maintain capital relationships with existing debt and equity providers, conduct debt and equity negotiations, maintain oversight of corporate and project level budgets, manage the finance and accounting team, and oversee risk management. His business insight and passion for real estate and residential development, along with his broad background in these areas, brings a well-rounded perspective to plans for the continued growth and success of Homes Built For America.
