Quality Manager for a 300,000 square foot Kuehne-Nagel contract logistics site dedicated as Pratt & Whitney's spare parts distribution center supporting all of its commercial and military engine programs worldwide. Responsibilities include implementation and management of processes and systems ensuring conformance and compliance to Kuehne + Nagel (KN) Management Systems, Pratt & Whitney's applicable quality assurance requirements, and federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements. Oversees AS9100 conformity as part of a multiple site certification. Manages 4 quality analysts who operate the quality, safety, health, training, and trade compliance processes for the 130-person, 2 shift operation. Manages a 20-person quality control staff performing FAA and DCMA-certified inspections on critical engine spare parts.

Avio-Diepen is an ISO9001:2015, AS9120B, and FAA AC-0056B distributor of spare parts for the aviation and aerospace industry. Proponent acquired Avio in 2016. This 35K SF site is closing and the functions are moving to other locations.– Led a team of eight QC inspectors. Managed the quality management best practices and standards of operation for ISO9001:2015, AS9120B, and FAA AC-0056B within a 35K square foot facility employing 45+ staff while serving 1600 active customers with approximately 50K receiving and order lines processed annually from a combination of US and European manufacturers. – Implemented Lean improvement program producing 52 improvements over a five-year period. Total net site value benefit was $396K against annual operating budget average of $7.5M. Facilitated two Value Stream Mapping workshops to initiate 17 of the 52 improvements.– Achieved multiple three-year recertifications of ISO9001:2015, AS9120B, and FAA AC-0056B by initiating annual audit program of up to 10 internal audits per year. Conducted external AS9100/AS9120 audits of other company facilities as well as AS9100 audits of manufacturer supplier sites. – Implemented formal corrective action program which reduced customer complaint rate by 90% in 18 months using root cause analysis.– Served as site FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR) under the 2017 Limited DAR-F Authorization program for aviation distributors.

Subsequent minor/major upgrade releases were valued at approx. $200K each. – Managed design, realization, testing, and implementation of Avio-Diepen’s ADvalue 2.X customer shop material management system and subsequent upgrade releases valued at approx. $250K cumulatively. Employed project and sub-contract vendor staff of 5.– Hosted 2 Lean/CI Value Stream Mapping workshops in 2014 for Inside Sales/Customer Service and Customer Returns Administration. Resulted in 22 Kaizen opportunities identified with process waste reduction improvement est. at 10% - 50%.
