William (Bill) Kaewert is the CEO and CTO of Stored Energy Systems LLC (SENS), a Colorado-based leader in non-stop DC power systems, high-reliability power electronics, and distributed energy products critical to infrastructure. Since 1990, Bill has grown SENS from $1.5M to nearly $100M in revenue in 2024, driven by his expertise in lean manufacturing, product development, and forward-looking analysis of geopolitical and technological trends. He holds four patents in battery charging and power system technologies, with an additional patent pending. Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Dartmouth College, where he competed as a Division 1 oarsman, and an executive MBA from Boston University. A dedicated athlete, he has completed two Ironman triathlons—his first at age 59—and numerous half Ironman events. A skilled glider pilot, Bill has competed in numerous contests and was the 2004 Sports Class champion in Hobbs, NM. Bill has served on several industry boards, including the Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA), where he received the 2024 President’s Award for achievement. His nonprofit work centers on strengthening U.S. resilience against infrastructure disruptions, serving as a former chairman of the Foundation for Resilient Societies and co-founding Resilient Utilities Now, dedicated to enhancing grid reliability.
