In my current tenure, I partner with all MITRE internal business units and external vendors to create organizational strategy and vision. I govern data center operations and systems infrastructure controlling all aspects of capital budget, design planning and employee management with a department of over 50 employees. We are responsible for cloud development of IaaS, PaaS and serverless deployments in Azure, AWS and GCP. IMy team also develops infrastructure and implements DevOps principles into our systems to increase speed of delivery and overall system stability. We maintain all back office, compute storage and backup systems, and configure security applications, controls and compliance systems.

In this role I spearheaded strategy development, initiative and forward vision for cost effective network and video/telecommunications solutions. I governed and maintained a $9M/year contract for projects including IT infrastructure, network resourcing (LAN and WAN), new business contracts and other replacements. I introduced comprehensive employee development program set in motion to empower management, channel personal goals and implement work/life balance, and I monitored large-scale multimedia endeavor, which included over 60 VTC enabled collaboration suites, ten large auditorium-style rooms, multimedia streaming, audio and web collaboration services provided by Cisco, Polycom and Microsoft. The results I accomplished in this role are the following: I spearheaded a massive WAN/LAN architecture project for a multi-million dollar organization with 7,000+ employees and 40+ locations and over 40,000 active network ports. I provide network security, remote access capabilities, wireless and internet access, and I governed Voice over Internet Protocol VoIP transition and Unified Communications Systems implementation project, which included 10,000 voice, video and data collaboration endpoints, migrating from a Siemens PBX to an Avaya IP-PBX with e911, contact center and secure voice communication capabilities.

My daughter played for a new softball program, the New England Blazers. My role was to keep the team organized and moving forward with our goals. All aspects of team management, including budget, travel, schedule and equipment were managed by me. Coaching included two world class fastpitch softball coaches: Rey Garcia former Yankee and US Mens National Fastpitch and Cassidi Hardy former BU pitching standout and former BU Assistance Coach.

In my time serving this firm I provided leadership management in controlling all operations for network services and business systems, which included technical services, application maintenance, desktop support and telecommunication support. I managed the capital budget and several direct reports. I introduced the newly formed startup named Empirix as a direct acquisition from Hammer, a Teradyne division. I controlled the entire Empirix infrastructure and recruited, hired and trained brand new IT team of experts. I implemented a Lucent Definity series, Intuity voicemail and 3Com PBX’s for multiple sites, and I designed and implemented back office systems such as customer relationship, financial and collaboration systems as well as networks for both Hammer and Empirix.

Prior to being acquired by 3Com, I managed all aspects of information technology for NBX, the IP-based PBX startup. Once acquired by 3Com, I then lead the oversight for all east coast facilities and supervised a team of 16 direct reports. I governed $7M budget and numerous improvement initiatives related to networking, systems administration and telecommunications solutions. I supported a user base of 1500+, assisted in acquisition procedure development and incorporated all networking services, Unix and Windows servers, desktop configurations and IS staffing.
