A 2 time Governor Appointee and elected Public Official, Bill was born in Georgia and raised in Gainesville, FL with his three siblings. Bill learned early on the value of hard work, teamwork, and perseverance since his first lemonade stand. He graduated near the top of both his high school and college class and was Student Body President of both, all while working to pay his own way through college.He has always been an entrepreneur, starting his first business after high school by turning an old car wash into a drive-thru convenience store just off the campus of the University of Florida, when he was 18 years old. It was there, he first learned about hiring of employees, sales tax, workers compensation, Medicare, FICA, FUTA, and Federal Income Taxes, employee benefits, software, sales, and operations.After college (which took a while), he spent the next two decades building successful Healthcare Information Technology, Healthcare Clinics, and Health Insurance companies, all with very successful exit strategies, which allowed him to invest in companies within our communities, as well as volunteering for a variety of charitable causes. Today, his mission to build a better health system continues.Since 2010, Bill has been called on by his community peers to be a public servant and community non profit volunteer. He served on the County Commission and was called "the peoples commissioner". He serves, or has served, as President of Rotary, Friends of A1A National Scenic Byway, St Johns County Civilian Law Enforcement Academy, St Augustine Community School for Performing Arts, and Fostering Connections of St Johns County. He is a Rotarian, Guardian Ad Litem, SJC Volunteer, and Foster Parent.Bill's proudest achievement is his two sons Blake and Bryce.
