I video a variety of events, but, most often I work with musicians, not only in this area, but also in the Orange and L.A. County areas and parts of the Inland Empire too. These "shoots" could be those who want their live performances recorded and filmed, AND/OR, those who want to create a promotion video that features some of their songs and performances. Typically, the video and audio recording tasks are done one day, sometimes employing a studio and audio engineer to record the sounds, and often doing multiple takes for each song. As a base, these sessions are usually around 4 or more hours long (depending on how much studio time you book), and that would allow you to record between 6-8 songs or so, with 3 takes of each song. Then, the recording is followed by several days of editing the video and audio to try and achieve a demo that will capture people's attention, and help the act land new jobs. Essentially, the focus of my work provides multiple benefits for those being filmed and recorded. First, the videos allow you to see what others see when they watch you perform. From this, you get to see your strengths, your weaknesses, and where and how you might improve your act. Others can view it too and offer their opinions and critiques. All this provides you with a visual learning tool, focused on your performance that can help you identify ways in which you might improve and make your performances more impressive. This is not only true of each song you perform, but also your body of work as a whole performance. I have served a wide variety of local, professional performers in helping them display their talents in a variety of situations, such as live performances, studio performances, lip synch, green screen, etc. I've hired out as an independent contractor to other video media organizations as a camera operator on video shoots, or as a video editor working on material shot by others.
