VP of Remote TV Operations

This position oversaw all hiring, schedule coordination, and performance management. Managed up to 45 employees in studios and Field Shop facilities, housing 6 to 8 Remote Trucks. Shared responsibility in the construction of new production trucks. Provided support to the Country Music Television (CMT) studios, assigning engineers and freelance staff to tapings in that studio. Directed the Remote Group employees to include engineers, travel logistics, maintenance, parts procurement, shipping, receiving, and operations staff. Administered operational procedures to include budgets and financial projections. Advised our team in the overhaul of accounting systems, and continued to be a part of daily financial transactions. Served as sales representative for non-company business. Managed remote trucks for numerous major shows, including large-scale events like Video Music Awards, CMT Awards, The Movie Awards, and many others.

A start-up Streaming Media Company included content acquisition, storage, and distribution specializing in streaming digital media. Oversight of 4 remote transmission production trucks, studios, earth station with satellite up and downlinks, and managed a staff of 60 employees. I provided complete operations oversight with responsibilities including budget projections, and revenue.

As head of Technical Operations, provided oversight to all hiring, schedule coordination, and performance management. Supplied mobile facilities, studio production and engineering staff for motorsports, music programing, rodeos, 3rd party sporting events and numerous CBS events like the Country Music Awards, and Country Christmas. Served as production operations manager for (8) years, and included the oversight of (3) 60 x 80 studios. Managed music entertainment and trade shows at the Opryland Theme Park, General Jackson river boat, and Opryland Hotel. I also provided oversight to productions and events at the Ryman Auditorium, Wild Horse Saloon, and Grand Ole Opry House. Acted as sales representative for all non-company business, as well as sporting events like NBA Basketball, NHL Hockey, and numerous entertainment events to include PBS Musicals like, Twyla Tharp’s “Dance in America”.
