As President and CEO I will be helping the company continue to advance the development of their products and technologies while accelerating their presence in the commercial marketplace.

Selectively invest in early stage start-ups in select areas of the electronics industry such as cloud computing and storage (Maginatics which was sold to VMWare, Hedvig), Learning Management Systems (Notebowl), semiconductors (Chirp Microsystems, Movidius which was sold to Intel, eSilicon, PA Semi which was sold to Apple, SiByte which was sold to Broadcom, Bridge Co which was sold to Microchip.,Ozmo which was sold to Atmel), consumer (Proximity Grid, Eyegroove which was sold to Facebook, Nod, Roost, ClipMine which was sold Facebook, etc.).

Supported transition of Ozmo into the Atmel organization after the acquisition in December 2012.

Ozmo was a pioneer in developing Wi-Fi Direct solutions for Personal Area Network (PAN) connectivity. Were successful in bringing to market the lowest power and lowest cost Wi-Fi device in the industry that gained market acceptance and traction in various consumer markets for audio (wireless speakers, headphones and headsets) and Human Interface Device (HID) applications (DTV remote controls, PC mouse and Keyboard). The company had a successful exit as a result of an acquisition by Atmel at the end of 2012.

Firecomms was sold and is now a member of the ZJF Group of Zhejiang China. Brought into company by Atlantic Bridge Ventures to work with the CEO in a number of critical areas. Have assisted in redefining and repositioning the company and its’ strategy. Led the company’s most recent fund raising activity to secure $11M, while expanding the investor base. Successful in securing multiple term sheets at an “up” valuation to the previous round. Have worked with the CEO to fill out the management team and assist in other related areas.

GloNav was a fabless semiconductor company which developed GPS receivers targeted at cellphones. The company was formed in June of 2006 as a result of spinning out the GPS team from CEVA (NASDAQ) and combining them RF Domus, a GPS radio company, acquired by GloNav.The company brought its 1st product to the market by the end of 2006, secured design engagements with targeted cell phone and PND manufacturers. The company was sold to NXP in 2008 for $110M based on a total investment of only $16.5M.

Was recruited as part of a “re-start”. Successfully raised $15M and brought in a new top tier investor, Atlas Ventures, while maintaining ongoing participation from all previous investors. Worked with the executive management team to redefine the company’s product strategy and launched a comprehensive product development plan which significantly expanded the market opportunity for the company. Refocused the company on penetrating the RFID market with long term plans to penetrate the Near Field Communications marketplace. Re-aligned overhead expenses with revenue and technology adoption rates by reducing our cash burn from $900K per month to $350K per month. Strengthened the management team with critical hires in Finance and Marketing & Sales. Sold the company in 2005.

Joined the company and assisted in driving a change in the business model from design services to IP licensing. Established product development operations in San Jose, Austin and Melbourne Florida. Secured engagements at 8 of the top 10 semiconductor manufacturers and grew revenues to $41M. Was General Manager of Global Positioning System (GPS) Business Unit, focused on development of GPS Intellectual Property targeted at the cellular marketplace. Secured licenses with Samsung’s Cellular Division, ST Microelectronics and 5 additional companies. Worked closely with CEO and CFO on M&A activities in the United States which resulted in the acquisitions of Chicory Systems in Austin Texas and a division of Frontier Designs in Melbourne Fl.

Also responsible for worldwide sales of all semiconductor products in this $700M division within Harris.Helped spin-out theirfingerprint sensor technology which was set up as an independent start-up (AuthenTec which went public on NASDAQ and was acquired by Apple).
