I am an innovative, strategic, culturally-agile, and resourceful leader with a deep and abiding commitment to equity, integrity, and empowerment. I also excel in communication with a collaborative and relational style. I worked cross-culturally in Beirut, Lebanon for 17 years. I hold an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, an MA in Modern Middle Eastern Studies, and an MA in Religious Studies. I am fluent in Arabic. My experience includes roles in teaching and leadership in higher education, secondary education, online education, theological education, and non-profit management.As the Chief Strategy Officer, I provide leadership for culturally-situated, transformative community development programs and projects in the fields of education, agriculture, health & wellness, disability services, and anti-human trafficking. My research interests focus on the development of culturally-situated critical thinking, contextual educational policy, and culturally-situated special education and disability reform. Before taking up leadership at IDEAS, I worked in the field of education. I also spent eight years working cross-culturally in the business sector as a quality management auditor and small-business owner. As a result of my broad experience, I am committed to interdisciplinary, intercultural approaches to leadership. I currently live in Wheaton, IL. I am adjunct faculty at Wheaton College and the College of DuPage.
