I am a waste management specialist with over 30 years of experience in radioactive, hazardous and conventional waste management, with particular emphasis on radioactive waste disposal. I also have considerable related experience in nuclear decommissioning and contaminated land remediation.My disposal experience is broad and covers both shallow and deep repository concepts, I have extensive international knowledge, and have worked on waste management and disposal projects in many countries including UK, USA, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Finland, Sweden, France, Italy, Belgium, Romania and Poland. Internationally, I have also been involved in several IAEA and NEA expert groups related to waste management and disposal. This includes as co-author of international guidance documents on L/ILW disposal and safety assessment methodologies.
