June, 1995-June 2000, Project Coordinator, South Pacific Sea Level and Climate Monitoring Project (SPSLCMP) funded by AusAID.Responsible for the coordination of the data collection, operation and maintenance, research, training and information components of the SPSLCMP. Previously associated with the quality control of the data generated in Phase I of the same project (1990-1995). Attended all Project Coordinating Committee meetings during Phase II. In conjunction with the Project Director, revised the Project Outline and Implementation Strategy focusing on:(i) annual research and training plans focusing on their integration(ii) research and monitoring relevant to project management needs(iii) performance review, evaluation and quality assurance(iv) timely provision of reports to AusAID(v) involvement by regional organisations, including South Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP), SOPAC, FORUM Secretariat and Regional Meteorological Directors(vi) information flow and training needs by Pacific Island Countries and regional organisations(vii) an integrated approach to climate change, climate variation and sea level rise(viii) linking science and policy through co-organising, with SPREP, an International Conference for the development of a regional framework for action, which is now in its review/implementation phase(ix) management of all quality assurance, data collection and scientific research aspects
