He graduated from the University of Aberdeen where he obtained his PhD in clinical research and moved to London to complete his clinical training. He and his associates provide one to one clinical assistance to a wide range of clients with Bill primarily focusing on work related difficulties. His clinical work is about rebuilding resilience in people who have been temporarily de-railed by complex life events.Bill is also closely involved with a number of organisations that are interested in maintaining wellbeing as well as sustaining high performance. He has many years’ experience in working with senior executives in corporations and partners in professional service firms. His expertise is in sustaining high performance while keeping people in tune with what sustains their energy, wellbeing and emotional fulfilment.He has run the Managing Yourself Programme for Ogilvy senior managers in Europe and latterly in Asia for 15 years; he has co-directed the Partner Survival Programme for PWC for 16 years. He has been closely involved in setting up the Employee Support Programme, for EDF Energy introducing a Stress and Resilience Awareness Programme and Building Resilience through Change Programme. Additionally Bill has worked with Thames Water delivering resilience training sessions for managers at all levels. Bill has run senior management sessions for the FCA, Lloyds Banking Group, Freshfields, Linklaters, Ernst & Young, Barclays Capital, IBM, Shell International, Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and Oxford University Press. Bill is a visiting lecturer to Kings College, London and to the London Business School.
