William Moravetz has owned Whites Creek Lumber for over 30 years. Bill enjoys researching alternative energy and passive solar construction. He is a non-hunting outdoorsman, and he has one son who is also entering the family business. Bill constructed several supplemental active solar systems through the early years of alternative energy interests. Bill still remains passionate about the environment today, keeping Whites Creek Lumber "Green". All wood by-products are recycled or used for other purposes, so that nothing goes to waste or into our landfills. Scraps of hardwood from the milling process are used for heating. Sawdust is used by local farmers for animal bedding, and then recycled for use in replenishing nutrients in farming fields. Today with wood, we enhance the beautiful, natural & renewable resource that Mother Nature provides by milling custom or unique one-of-a-kind floorings and mouldings.
