Brought in as the Northern lead for Spiralite, the role was to launch this innovative product into the M&E market as an alternative to traditional solutions. As Regional Director the goal was to target the mechanical and electrical contractors, main Contractors and end users, through business development and marketing. As a new product, confidence was needed so that early adopters could benefit from the commercial advantages both in terms of cap ex, running costs and maintenance schedules. Within 6 months the product had been adopted, a robust pipeline built and large contacts secured. Work winning and contract negotiations played a key part of this position. Working with customers to develop and bespoke the product helped to maximise the advantages of Spiralite. Delivery on site was paramount to establish repeat business clients, all of which I was responsible for. Final accounts and commercial, contract management also fell within my remit.

Responsible for the restructure of growth strategy of the North West business unit, streamlining, operations, commercial, bid, health & safety departments, ensuring a positive impact on P&L. Working with the business development function, high profile projects were targeted and secured enabling a stabilised order book and the ability to supplement frameworks.Recruitment of major functions growing the team and management of its cohesion and ultimate success. Motivation, processes and communication were all improved allowing for a successful team and increased margins and hit rates.

Interior Fit out and Joinery Manufacturing contractor.Improved the client base from predominatly restaurant fit out to retail, leisure, commercial and public sector works.Improved turnover in 2008 at £8m to a result of £15m in 2010.The instigation of processes throughout the business such as workload tracking, programming, bid support, client pre-qualification, training, health and safety as well as working towards ISO accreditation. The restructuring of the Finance Department and the Commercial and Estimating Department.The reorganisation of the Manufacturing operation to become more efficient and cost focused.
