I’m a creative strategist who builds organizations and facilitates joint ventures between businesses, governments, education and nonprofits. After years of public service and five years with global tech firm Intel, I joined a community-based nonprofit in 2006 for a new challenge. Working with a VIP board and talented staff team we grew Valley Vision into a leading forum for resolving environmental, economic, and social challenges. I served as CEO from 2008 to 2020. After 15 years, I was hungry for a new role that offered a chance to be a learner and practitioner again. Jose Hermocillo, Jerry Azevedo and l launched Integrated Communications Strategies, LLC, in 2020 to provide our clients integrated strategic planning, stakeholder management, economic development, government relations, policy and crisis communication, and issue management services so they can achieve their goals. Our client roster includes a range of local governments, statewide business groups, education institutions, foundations, and nonprofits across California.I split my time between California and Colorado these days, traveling frequently for work, family, and fitness.
