Developed, owned and operated 2 Moe's Southwest Grill franchises. Handled all budgeting, forecasting, hiring, training, ordering and payroll.

Worked on site selection, development and operations of hotels for a family owned hotel company. While underdevelopment responsible for construction management, procurement of all FF&E, pre opening marketing, staff selection and training. After opening responsible for all budgets, forecasts, sales and daily operation of hotels.

Asked to take over and turn around a six month old 114 room hotel that was underperforming. The hotel had 34 brand standard violations, was losing money, was ranked last in the region for Guest Satisfaction, had poor employee morale and no budget or forecasts. In 9 months the hotel was profitable and all brand standard violations were corrected. Budgets and forecasts were in place, hotel employee morale had improved dramatically and the hotel was ranked #3 in the region.

Oversaw development and construction of this 164 room full service hotel. As the on-site owners representative, handled correspondence between ownership, management company and general contractor. Responsible for hiring and training of 60 person staff. Directed all aspects of daily operation. Hotel was consistently ranked in the top 10 in the chain for both Guest Satisfaction and Total Revenue.

Held full autonomy for directing the daily operations of this 144 room limited service hotel. During my tenure I oversaw 2 complete renovations. The hotel was ranked in the top 1% of the chain for total revenue, and top 5% for Guest Satisfaction scores. The average length of employment for all employees was over 10 years.
