Community Team, Young Life Minnesota Valley
CurrentCurrently my primary role as a volunteer with Young Life is to be available in bridging with the community, businesses, school administration, churches and parents. Young Life volunteers and leaders come alongside kids in middle schools and high schools, unconditionally building relationships of care and trust. Jim Rayburn, the founder in the early 40's said,"It's a sin to bore a kid !" Contact, clubs, camps and support groups are the avenues of finding the solid ground for a life built on the rock of Jesus Christ. Joy and I have seen hundreds of kids benefitted greatly by this example of support, encouragement and challenge. We are dedicated for life to introduce it to anyone who may be interested. Young Life majors in collaborating with the interests of the wider community in building the character of our children.We have had a lifetime of seeing the "Amazing Grace" of God at work in the lives of kids, families and friends.
