I was brought in for an indefinite period as a Consultant for a large migration from h/w Platform and OS level for HPUX, Linux and Solaris OS's. I am selling myself and my technical abilities and choices of tools to advance in migration plans. Tools used are SIM, workload manager, ITO, Performance Manager and ConfigureSoft. The main project is for the ERP project to move all Instances of ERP PA-Risc to new Itanium Oracle Instances and Concurrent manager services as well. I have worked with the team on various projects thus far including the movement of systems racked to make room for the new EMC equipment. Storage migration and reporting from ECC tools on EMC Symmetrix and Clariion Arrays. Familiarized myself with the mixed Unix environment and their processes. Architecting new equipment with new Npar and Vpars according to current and future performance needs. Installed and configured new HP products. Documented a couple of build procedures as we stood up new 11.23 and 11.31Vpar and HPVM environments. Performance Agent to automate h/w needs. Constantly selling myself and the products I installed and updating high level management on the progress being made.

A very mixed Unix environment, primarily HP-UX 11.11 and 11.31 Itanium, Solaris and AIX. Administer, all aspects of administration including SAN Brocade switching EMC ECC, Powerpath, worked on procedures/projects with DBA's of Oracle, SQL and Unidata, Some applications that we maintain are Apache, Nagios, EMC symmetrix and Clariion apps, Data Protector for backups, Ignite all HP systems daily for quick recovery, maintained NPAR and VPAR systems. Created scripts to push data for redundancy to DR. converted many systems to trusted mode. ftp automation from dmz server to the order procurement application. Worked on various projects with SAN team to present new disk space to many of the HP systems. Work included Project driven processes, SOX projects including many smaller projects and tickets as able to work them. I have worked very closely with project managers and customer to deliver customer satisfaction while keeping the agreements and processes in mind. Installed application, Kernel adjustments, Hitachi and EMC SAN LUN discovery and Powerpath and HDLM. Managed HP openview Operations and NNM. Worked on some Ignite servers tape and Net Ignite and have played a major role with the Unix team. I have received many praises on the work and people skills I pride myself in. Worked with various other teams including Oracle and Storage groups to deliver the customer needs. Worked on some tuning issues when systems appeared to be slow and get to the root cause of issues. Set up The RSP SIM environment on all HPUX systems.

Hands on consultant, I have worked on many projects with various HPUX, Solaris and some Red Hat Linux servers for commercial and government companies including system administration functions as DNS, HTTP, APACHE, Samba, ARPA, SSH Putty services, Winscp, Netbackup, Security, disk management, backup SAN on Hitachi SAN USP, some EMC SAN as well. Some of my projects included setting up a Secure network, Kernel Tuning on all servers, and Disaster Recovery HP MC-Serviceguard Installations and updates on disk space for Oracle DB. Configured system Clustering on HP and Solaris servers. Implemented ideas on how to manage system and data (Disk) integrity and also implemented a SAN configuration. Developed and managed a supply chain JDEdwards ERP solution to a Government agency in Virginia. I also worked as a consultant on various Unix projects that adhere to my experience. Consultant 6-Month Project at MotorolaActed as the Lead system administrator for a separated group of Motorola. Migrated the network to NIS. Installed and administered Veritas Netbackup. Upgraded The Sun Solaris environment to 2.6 and also migrated the HP-UX Operating system to 11.00. Installed and setup Big Brother monitoring tool. Trained on JDEdwards One World and implemented Oracle based configurations for manufacturing companies. Was responsible for HP-UX Operating systems upgrade migration project using Ignite-UX. Set up Redundancy of MC-Service Guard on 3 Systems. I was as a project lead for the Y2K for Discover Card On AIX 4.2.1, HP-UX 10.20 and Solaris 2.X. Hands on ManagerI was a hands-on Manager working primarily on the HP systems and the new BaaN (ERP) product. Also held the responsibility of a Project leader for the Year2000 project.
