About Bill Shockley

I worked for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources-Geographic Services Section in Madison for 18 months. In August 2000, I accepted the Clark County GIS Analyst position where I worked until June 2010. This job challenged and expanded my GIS knowledge and abilities through diverse mapping, parcel creation/management, address database, plat book creation and 911 mapping projects. I developed seamless sharing of GIS data between departments and agencies and oversaw daily operations of the county land information website. My next position from June 2010 – April 2012 was the GIS Technician for the Winnebago County Land and Water Conservation Department.There I managed the Winnebago County Land and Water Conservation Department's GIS and database applications in support of all soil and water resource management programs and other related activities. My current job since April 2012 is the GIS Analyst for Power System Engineering. There I develop and improve various GIS databases through map preparation, data entry, editing and quality control techniques. I also do web development using ArcGIS Server, javascript, flex. I also train and assist GIS users in defining needs and developing GIS applications.
