Lead the business's response to the COVID-19 pandemic and worked with Company owners to refinance the business in August 2021 and restructure the overall business to streamline company and tax structure.

• Led successful sale of the business including drafting the information pack, drafting and participating in the management presentations, overseeing the responses to questions from participants and managing the warranty process. • Managed the successful debt refinancing which extended the maturities of all outstanding obligations so that the Board could successfully manage the Company’s sale. • Led successful financing of the purchase of the Amsterdam hotel under a turn-key contract when committed lender refused to lend just prior to purchase. Quickly organized three replacement lenders, gathering two term sheets in a very difficult market.• Completely revamped both key people and processes within the internal control system to address significant weaknesses and ensure the audit process was completed on the March 2011 accounts prior to June 2011 to aid in the sale of the business. • Worked with outside advisors to resolve several taxation issues to eliminate any significant snags in the sale process.• Reinstated the external credibility of the management team by preparing a properly supported reforecast, we continued to achieve through November 2011 (date of conversion of hotels to Hilton management).

Developed and led the real estate hospitality team in the delivery of audit, tax and consulting services to public and private real estate and hospitality investors in all major asset classes. • Maintained overall P&L responsibility for group and directed hiring, training and managing for audit personnel in the Southern California Real Estate practice.• Led new business development with significant client wins including one public REIT; a large pre-IPO real estate owner and operator; a large pre-IPO mortgage originator and investor; and a large open-ended fund invested primarily in core properties. • Member of PwC Global Real Estate IFRS Technical Committee, which evaluated relevant new technical accounting standards and advised PwC’s technical departments on adoption and application issues. • Managed a detailed forensic audit at a client, where a fraud was uncovered. Worked with our client and their counsel to quickly develop a robust internal and external response to the fraud.

• Developed a pan-European audit and due diligence network across member PwC firms to better coordinate and standardize service delivery to meet demand from the quickly expanding property investment fund industry. • Oversaw the service delivery to six large closed ended funds invested either globally or across Europe and focused on all property types, including hotels. Oversaw the audit for a large FTSE listed property company with large retail outlets across the UK and significant office investment in London. • Oversaw and managed a large multi-jurisdictional accounting conversion from local GAAP to US GAAP for inclusion in subsequent SEC filings.• Managed multiple, pan-European due diligence projects supporting clients' acquisition of diversified property portfolios. Our work included supporting significant pricing adjustments in negotiations, assisting client in ensuring underwriting models were complete with a focus on key deal points and focusing client on key deal drivers for post deal integration.• Led two, successful "bid defence" transaction teams supporting the rejection of unsolicited takeover bids (one all cash), through the development of value campaigns to educate shareholders on the benefits of staying independent and successfully convey the vision of management.
