Away from the office, Bill's time is given to working with kids with cancer. For more than forty years, Bill has been actively involved with the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer. The MACC Fund has funded more than $100 million in pediatric cancer research. He has served as board chair of The MACC Fund, board chair of the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Cancer Center Advisory Board and board chair of the University of Wisconsin Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center Advisory Board. He has served as outside and lead director on the boards of a number of privately and publicly-owned companies, nonprofit organizations, and alumni advisory boards over the years.Earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin. Early leadership experience after college as Marine captain and fighter pilot serving tours of duty with the Fleet Marine Forces in the Atlantic and the Pacific.
