As a coach at Acrobrats Gymnastics, I am responsible for the safe and effective management of recreational Gymnastics courses. In my experience at Acrobrats Gymnastics, I have had the privilege of coaching hundreds of young athletes, helping them to hone lifelong skills such as leadership, how to be a good teammate and discipline. However, the most crucial lessons I learned, were taught to me by the young gymnasts I coached. They did not instruct me on how to flawlessly execute a pullover on the bars or perfect a stretch jump on the vault. Instead, they showed me how to rise after each fall, and how to summon a smile even when faced with failure. In their determined attempts to conquer new skills, they displayed unwavering courage and an unyielding spirit. They taught me the art of persistence, the beauty of determination, and the strength derived from perseverance. As weeks turned into months and months into years, the gymnastics floor transformed into a classroom for life's most important lessons. I realized that leading was not merely about demonstrating a skill; it was about inspiring and instilling confidence in others. The patience and understanding I cultivated in guiding them through their skills extended into my everyday life, shaping the way I interact with the world around me.
