I act in partnership with Engineering and Sales to develop and follow standards, goals, strategies, and objectives to achieve market success. I ensure our construction partners are engaged and focused on true construction productivity, on time and on budget. Specific responsibilities include: • Work closely with regional Sales leadership teams to develop budgets and allocate resources for new builds, rebuilds, upgrades, and other construction efforts. • Develops processes and procedures to drive construction/engineering department efficiencies. • Ensures the market has appropriate engineering/design and construction resources to achieve all financial and business objectives. • Provides subject matter guidance to employees and contributes to the development of the organizational business strategy. • Schedules construction projects; oversees compliance of safety standards and quality control of construction projects. • Initiates and monitors processes for expenditures and ensures budgets are met. • Verifies that applicable construction codes and safety regulations are being upheld.• Maintains a high level of productivity, assuring timeframes are met for projects occurring simultaneously and tracks and generates reports on project status. • Manage all projects to meet or exceed minimum specification to Company Construction Policy, FCC Technical Standards, NEC, OSHA, State, County and/or City and all other applicable agencies• Practices and ensures Company safety policies and procedures are followed• Directs the successful execution of the field workforce to include dispatching of work, routing of work, disposition of work, and all field support activities

• In this position I was empowered as the Operational Leader of the market and served as the partner of the City General Manager/Vice President to expand the network reach, grow revenues, gain market share, and insure market profitability. I was responsible for the creation, implementation, and communications of market visions and strategies, to meet or exceed company and market specific goals, maintained the health of the network, and ensured compliance with tw telecom’s policies and procedures. • I collaborated with the City General Manager/Vice President of Sales in the creation, communications, and implementation of a market specific vision, strategy, initiatives, and goals that will drive revenues, increase customer satisfaction resulting in excellent customer responses to surveys and renewed contracts, insure availability of network capacity, and expand the market reach. This involves soliciting various tw telecom departments to participate in the market’s success. • In partnership with the City General Manager/Vice President of Sales (and leaders from other departments such as Service Activation, Maintenance, Engineering, Inventory, and Procurement) I participated in oversight and occasional Intervention of “day to day” market activities that are consistent with tw telecom product and engineering parameters resulting in the successful and timely installation and maintenance of customer services. Success was measured by performance indicators such as CCDD, PTD, trouble ticket duration, and customer satisfaction surveys. • I directed all of the operations and engineering staff within the city of Dallas and collaborate with the leaders of other departments. I led a team of managers and employees to meet or exceed performance established goals, metrics, fiscal parameters, workload, and competencies.

Responsible for managing the installation and operations of the local telecommunications network and responsible for coordinating fiber placement inside buildings, engineer and other services for the city. I was responsible for the engineering of two complete markets, Vernon Hills, IL (New Central Office and 11 AT&T Collocates and Plymouth, MI (New Central Office and 12 Collocates

• I performed implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure (voice and data hardware). In addition, • I conducted maintenance of network elements, customer-premise equipment and fiber electronics. • As the lead engineer, responsibilities included the training of new field engineers. • Turn up and test ISDN (BRI and PRI) and TDM Switching (Nortel and Lucent) in the 14 state regional network. • As the lead, responsible for the call centers queue statistics, training new technicians and timely service delivery. On call responsibilities

• Testing and troubleshooting SS7 networking, STP-6, STP-32, SCP’s, 600 Series including domestic/international and cellular switches. • Set up a new sub systems testing methodology resulting in greater manufacturing efficiencies. • I was a member of the manufacturing Quality Action Team. • Gulf War Veteran - Supervised a group of 12 radar and communication technicians on the USS Raleigh LPD-1. • I was responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on naval radar equipment, RF and satellite communications as well as line of sight equipment. • Coordinated division level preparations for command safety survey, maintained combat systems readiness during operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm keeping radar and navigation equipment operating at maximum efficiency.
