I have been in the electrical industry over 53 years with 43 years in the power industry from transmission to power generation in construction, maintenance and management.From mid 2022 to present I have been involved in Project work with CS Energy at Callide and recently the Chinchilla BESS doing HV switching programmes and switching duties at the BESS for commissioning to commence.In 2022 I finished the AGL Bayswater PS Unit 2 & 3 Digital Control Systems Upgrade, I was engaged in a contract as a Site Manager / Technical advisor in the construction and upgrading of power generation systems. During all this time across units 2 and 3, more than 37km of new cables installed, 40,000 connections completed on the unit with a total strip out of the old control systems and installation of new cubicles and panels, I have been in control of Siemens Energy Engineers and Sub Contractors suppling crews of electricians, trades assistants and and directed a team of 15 Engineers in the cut over and commissioning of the units. During this time there were no lost time injuries, no injuries to the work force. The installation outage was completed on time and in budget. The units returned to service was delayed due to other mechanical issues and electrical plant.I am now looking for new challenges and projects.
