My experience is “old school,” started as a labor repairing existing utility lines and maintenance of sewer pump stations, from that I learned how not to install underground utilities since my work relied on repair. After working as labor for a few years, I served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee equipment operator graduating 1st in my class, achieving the rank of EO3 in just one year. After being honorably discharged, I continued with all that I learned as an equipment operator; A sample of equipment that I have run includes Cranes, Horizontal Boring methods (Auger, Ramming, and Bullet), Directional Drill, Excavators and Dozers to mention just a few. My experience with reading and interpreting Blueprints coupled with field experience allowed me to assume the role of management, starting with Foreman and earning my way to my current position as Project Manager. My current position requires me to have the understanding and working knowledge of PennDOT ECMS, Sharepoint, and 408 specifications. Along with understanding those mentioned, I’m required to build and maintain project schedules using Project Manager software, while creating plans such as Demolition, QC for Pavement and Concrete, Welding and Pile Hammer forms to mention just a few.Other attributes include; Bidding new projects (Bridges, Box/Arch Culverts, Roadway/Highway work), problem-solving, communicating and resolving differing interpretations that arise from conflicting plans and specification.
