After six years working in management at National Tyres and Debenhams, I returned to the University of Bristol to study law. I undertook a training contract at Veale Wasbrough and stayed there for my first five years’ post qualification, specialising primarily in employers’ liability and personal injury litigation.Staying in Bristol, I moved to Kirby Simcox in 1998, where I continued to work as a personal injury litigator, and was made Partner in 2001. Following a merger with Sheppards in 2010, I became Managing Partner of the new firm. I then oversaw the merger with Barcan Woodward in 2015, which doubled the size of each firm to form Barcan+Kirby.I have been on the Board of Barcan+Kirby since 2015 and was made Managing Partner in 2017. I am also the partner responsible for compliance and IT strategy. I continue to practise law, primarily in personal injury and litigation.
