Bill Worzel has been leading teams producing analytic solutions for the last 20 years. He has held several ‘C’ level positions and has led diverse groups of teams integrating computer expertise with domain knowledge experts. He founded and ran Everist Genomics, a biotechnology company, for 13 years before being bought out by his partners. Prior to that he was one of the first hires at Widevine Technology, a network security company that was sold to Google. Some of the customers he has consulted for include Pfizer, Sanford Health, NASA, Pioneer Hi-Bred, Procter & Gamble, and Apple Computer. Much of this work included collaborations with a number of leading research institutes such as the University of Michigan, the University of Southern California, the Mayo Clinic and Wayne State University. He has particular expertise in biologically inspired algorithms such as genetic algorithms and genetic programming and has a demonstrated capability of quickly learn fundamental concepts in diverse fields and apply cutting edge algorithms to solve complex problems.He has recently designed a new platform based on the ML technique of Genetic Programming that will fuse Genetic Programming with Deep Learning and other software to evolve adaptive systems.He is the founder and CEO of OmiDx. Inc. OmiDx is a company building a platform for combining and analyzing molecular and pathology data for diagnostics and the discovery of drug targets.
