About Bill Abel

I was born in the Chicago area and moved around quite a bit but settled in Buffalo Grove in 1975…so that’s basically where I grew up and graduated from high school. I have been a guitar player since I was a freshman in high school. I have been in a lot of bands, mostly heavy rock stuff, playing all over the Midwest and beyond, regularly with headlining acts and opening for bands like Vince Neil, Slaughter, Firehouse, Skid Row, Bret Michaels, Cinderella, and more.Along the way I had three beautiful daughters and built a nice career with a major musical instrument manufacturer, traveling the world as a developer, product manager, and sales manager. In June of 2013, Jesus made Himself known to me. By October of that year, I had given my life to Him and asked for His forgiveness, and now I am not only changed but transformed...and I am saved. Since then, I went back to school and finished a BS in Biblical and Theological Studies and added another BS in Christian Counseling, and then an MA in Biblical Exposition in 2020. I am currently working on an MDIV which I will finish in May 2023.God is good. All the time.
