CurrentBill Anderson has served as chief staff officer of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Georgia, Inc. for more than 20 years. He leads the ABC team and implements the strategic vision created in partnership with the board of directors. Under Bill’s leadership, ABC has significantly strengthened its visibility throughout the state and its financial stability. His efforts also have increased the value proposition of ABC membership by developing and executing many new programs and services. He led a capital fundraising campaign for the purchase and renovation of an 8,000 sq. ft. headquarters and training center, which earned LEED® Gold certification. Bill's strategic leadership has helped ABC expand into the owner/developer and design communities, ensuring the association is the most inclusive develop-design-build association in Georgia.Bill's partnership with ABC's leadership and members has raised the Chapter’s status in Georgia’s commercial/industrial construction industry. He has represented members on industry coalitions and serves as spokesperson with the media, appearing on the Lou Dobbs Show and being quoted in the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle and numerous trade publications. These results have been recognized by the ABC National office with numerous awards over the years. The Georgia Chapter also has received the highest accreditation level for excellence association management from the ABC National office. He serves on the construction management advisory council board for Georgia Southern University and on the advisory council for Trade Five (formerly Go Build Georgia) - an initiative of Governor Deal's Office of Economic Development. Bill also was elected by ABC Chapter presidents across the country to serve as chair of the ABC presidents' council on ABC National's executive committee.
