I have retired from this position, but I had a long career at Lake Superior College. I started as a computer technician and I have become the manager of the Audio/Visual & Video Conferencing Systems. I am a Certified Technology Specialist (lapsed) in AV Equipment. I worked with instructors and facilities, recommending presentation equipment and the placement of presentation equipment in rooms. I providedequipment support when failures happened, I provided training support as well. I also supported special events that needed Audio Visual equipment, and I interacted and provided exceptional customer service for our guests on campus.

Set up and maintain computer labs, set up and maintain computers for faculty, and staff. I was responsible for over 100 student computers and over 75 faculty computers. While in this position I trained and supervised student workers to help care for the machines. I helped improve the response time to problems by researching and implementing pagers for all the technicians so we could be contacted and respond to emergencies.

Started as a part time computer operator and moved up through the ranks to a system analyst working on new systems for registration and software development. I help reduce the amount of paper used by the nightly batch reports, by configuring a software that didn't print portions of the paperwork that we didn't need to distribute to the users. The report went from an average of 500 pages to 280. This saved on paper costs and man hours. When I was promoted to Systems Analyst I was tasked with the admission process for a new software system that was being implemented at the hospital.

I delivered general commodities, kept the truck in operating condition, by performing maintenance as required. I would operate heavy equipment to load the truck or spread material as required.
