I am a heritage interpreter, writer, photographer and archaeologist.I am passionate about bringing the past and places alive to modern audiences. I enjoy the creative, innovative and social process of enabling people to communicate their messages about their heritage to their audiences. I also communicate my own interpretations and thoughts about the results of archaeological and historical research through words and photographs.I work on a variety of cultural and natural heritage interpretation and oral history projects for a range of local, regional and national clients. I work with community groups to manage, mentor or produce interpretive outputs on Heritage Lottery Fund projects. I also help groups apply for grants.I lead training workshops in heritage interpretation, interpretive writing, interpretive planning and use of interpretation media. He depicted the relationship between workers and their subjects as mediated through tools and how archaeologists create order on the vast subject that is the human past. The residency culminated in a day conference on art in archaeology called Assembling Archaeology, an exhibition and the creation of a triptych for the department lobby called Triangulation. -
