A three year contracting opportunity working as a subject matter expert on a series of research projects in support of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration identifying terminal airspace safety trends issues. During this time, I conducted extensive research into potential root causes of terminal airspace related aviation incidences and developed automated systems for early detection of situations of potential elevated risks.

The Canadian government is leading the world with groundbreaking new policies regarding project risk, complexity and planning. I had the opportunity to work as a project coordinator for the Treasury Board Secretariat in helping them to implement two of their new policies that I think will forever change the way our government approaches projects in Canada.

During this period, I was responsible for the day-to-day running of all software development operations. The development team consisted of 12 programmers working on both external software maintenance and upgrade contracts and internal product development efforts.

During this time, I was responsible for both the the software maintenance teams (maintaining the navigational training software on board four military Dash 8 aircraft, as well as the quality assurance and readiness review testing for each software build.
