Conceived, established, and directed the first Strategic Business Architecture team within the Investment Management and Research division at Russell. The team was responsible for working collaboratively across the global IM&R division to define and publish the business architecture, key business processes, and provide business analysis and project support to key divisional projects.

Created and directed a small team of professionals to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the newly formed Investment Management and Research Division across the globe. This study included key business processes, regulatory, legal, and technological support systems and applications. It resulted in the funding of one of the largest programs ever funded to that point and provided a comprehensive re engineering of key processes and the technology that supported them including trading, investment process, regulatory oversight, etc.

Conceived, established, and directed the first IT Architecture team at Russell. The team was responsible for working collaboratively across the IT organization and business to define and publish the architectural standards globally and conduct architectural reviews for all projects with an IT component. The team also led the IT research function, technology educational outreach, and was responsible for the IT strategic plan.

Designed and implemented company's first etherswitching local area network to replace collapsed previous backbone approach I designed and implemented earlier.Implemented sophisticated network management and reporting tools, trained personnel, monitored and reported on a periodic basis. Designed and implemented company's first TCP/IP network globally.

Designed and implemented the first company-wide local area network and client/server infrastructure. Conceived and developed email gateway that connected IBM PROFS to Wang CSS email systems on a global basis. Supported the global X.25 network, gateways, and all corporate communications networks including specialized trading networks. Supported the Wang Operating Systems and Communications, IBM communications.

Developed and taught night certification courses at their Seattle, Bellevue, and on-campus extension locations. Courses included computer systems introduction, Networking concepts and introduction, Local Area Networking, Wide-Area Networking, Internet, and Network Management.

Created test lab using Wang VM to test networking and system software, configurations, and hardware. Developed an email gateway to bridge the OIS Mailway System to the VS Wang Office mail system.
