Internal risk consultant to technology and business partners on implementation of controls for risk mitigation related to strategic initiatives, cross-enterprise complex projects, operational processes and technology infrastructure design:•Created and executed the IT audit plan and opened lines of communication with senior officers to mitigate risks and comply with regulatory requirements.•Recruited, developed and evaluated staff to create a proactive and accountable culture.•Served on steering committees for many high-profile/high-risk technology projects, including enterprise data warehouse, customer cost basis reporting, and business intelligence.• Created controls list, led implementation, and oversaw outsourced offshore audits (KPMG India) related to securing Schwab assets in an offshore environment, ultimately resulting in a 90% year over year drop in new or repeat audit issues at the offshore work center. • Directed risk assessment for the Google IPO effort, which allowed the implementation team to have a laser focus on priority items.
