I started my professional career as an architect. Soon thereafter I learned CAD on an Intergraph system and two years later I was hired to start and manage the CAD department for a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering firm. After two years I decided I liked customizing and programming more than using the CAD system, so I went back to school and earned a master’s degree in Computer Science. My first software engineering job was in the new products department of Honeywell Industrial Automation and Control. Most of my work at Honeywell was on Motif user interfaces. After Honeywell I joined a consulting company that specialized in Motif user interfaces. Two years after that I joined Design Power (acquired by Bentley Systems, Inc. in 2007) and got back to CAD programming.Specialties: Registered architect in Arizona.
