In mid-2003, while still CEO at BC Group, I took advantage of an opportunity to buy into Arch Engraving, a small awards and recognition manufacturing company whose owners were retiring. I was a 1/3 owner until 2010 when I purchased the entire company from my partners. I'm now sole owner and the company is in a growth mode.In June 2015, we acquired Stiern Laser, who specialized in industrial engraving and marking. We also purchased their commercial property in Fenton Missouri, and moved our production operation into the former Stiern facility.We now have retail showrooms in both Fenton and in Kirkwood MO.Arch Engraving was named Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year for 2019 by the SBA's Eastern MO district.------------------I'm also a business coach, consultant, speaker and author. My primary business coaching role: The St. Louis area coach for The Great Game of Business, or GGOB. Commonly known as "open-book management", GGOB is based in Springfield MO and is known/practiced worldwide.My first company, BC Group International, was named to the St. Louis Technology Fast 50 list in 2000, 2001, and 2003 - recognizing the 50 fastest-growing technology firms in the St. Louis Metro region. In 2005, I received the Hall of Fame Award from the Great Game of Business for BC Group's "extraordinary business practices and performance."
