GranTierra Energy (Calgary, Alberta/Bogota, Colombia) Jun 2019 – Dec 2020Field Operations Consultant• Commissioning Support and Operations groups through start-up of GranTierra’s largest Field at Acordionero Phase II. This included 2- 30,000 BFPD Free Water Knock Outs, 1-Electrostatic Treater, 1-Electrostatic Heater Treater, Flare System, Nitrogen System, Instrument Air System, Gas Compression 15 MMCFPD, 4 Solar Centaur Turbines for power generation, Bawer Water Treatment facility and a Novement Water Injection facility to accommodate 45K BFPD.• Develop and approve Procedures for Start-up, Operation, Shut-Down and Isolation of all new equipment in Phase II.• Build and implement a Competency based program for the Operations group which paralleled the Procedures built for Phase II, titled it EDGE (Employee Development Generates Excellence)• Work to transition the Operations/Maintenance groups from a reactive environment to preventative mindset using a number of Operations Excellence initiatives I had from my past.• Continue to address Operational production processes as they are encountered, drive the Management of Change process and facilitate the Root Cause Analysis as required.- My role as Project Development Consultant for Sharc Energy, June 2015 to June 2018 was to help ensure wastewater heat recovery equipment is being designed with reliability and cost effectiveness built into the equipment. - Utilize my maintenance background for troubleshooting and evaluating alternative options for existing installations and future installs with Sharc Energy.- Develop a viable, repeatable process to refurbish Sharc black-water to the World Health Organization "reuse" wastewater status.- Utilize my management background for Safety training, Competency training and Maintenance training, to be applied during the growth and development of Sharc Energy.- I also look for opportunities to lead or support the growth or step change for companies within the Petroleum Sector who are striving to be "best in class".
