I am owner and Chief Videographer/Editor/Director for CrumlicMedia in New York City. While I work in video for many types of business our main focus is media for artists, art galleries and museums.Over the years I have been a professional Firefighter/EMT, radio and television traffic reporter, radio show host, television news assignment editor and TV news videographer. In 2002 I left a full-time position as Chief Assignment Editor at WFMZ TV to start what turned out to be a very successful freelance TV news video business called Crumlic News Services in Allentown, Pennsylvania, part of the Philadelphia TV market.In 2006 the opportunity to move to New York City was presented. The freelance news model did not work well for me in the city despite some moderate success. In 2007, some of the feature news assignments I received from one of my clients back in PA were very interesting. They asked me to shoot the opening receptions at several commercial and community art galleries. I was fascinated by the artists I was speaking with on the assignments. After delivering the raw video for the station to edit into one of the stories, I decided to edit my own news style story with a promotional pitch. I presented this video to the owner of the gallery who immediately hired me to shoot each event at his gallery in Bethlehem, PA. I continued to make stories on the other galleries as an exercise and the focus on arts video became the direction I wanted to go.By 2009 it was apparent that the name "Crumlic News Services" no longer reflected the work we were doing and CrumlicMedia was born. We expanded into commercial production, business video & our arts division produced our first documentary. In early 2010 we signed our first Chelsea art gallery and the idea took off.As of 2014 we have worked with hundreds of artists and galleries worldwide and serve NYC galleries producing video, photography, websites, books and other promotional materials.
