CurrentDirect and coordinate PCCA’s full range of cybersecurity activities, ensuring protection of information assets against current and future internal and external threats. Advise senior management on cybersecurity threats and strategies, developing policies and procedures to minimize security risk. Manage desktop and server patching, backup, email filtering, and DNS systems. • Introduced critical security enhancements, raising scores on annual external security audits from 8 high, 10 moderate, and 26 Low findings in year one, to 2 moderate and 10 low findings in year four.• Protected systems against growing email penetration of malware and viruses by replacing 13-year old email filter with enhanced filter and implementing advanced features to reduce risk of spoofing. • Dramatically increased computer security and reduced end-user vulnerability to phishing attacks more than 90% by implementing PCCA’s first cyber-security training program for employees. • Designed and implemented new and largely automated desktop and server patch management system, reducing time required to manage process from a full weekend for four people to a few hours of monitoring by one person.• Significantly improved email archiving, replacing antiquated, slow, and inflexible system with much faster and better-supported system and migrating 10 years of email in less than two weeks • On short deadline, identified and evaluated cheaper and easier to use server and workstation backup solution to replace end-of-life systems facing loss of support.
