Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

• Directed all engineering and product development activities for this wholly-owned subsidiary of PFU Limited, a Fujitsu company headquartered in Japan. Contributed as member of management team to company goal-setting.
• Promoted three times from Principle Engineer to Senior Director within 10 years due to increasing importance of the company with respect to overall parent company revenue.
• Established engineering department, including all engineering processes and procedures, as well as documentation systems and implemented mechanical and electrical CAD. Staffed and managed engineering team of hardware.
• Coordinated all aspects of product development and lifecycle with both internal manufacturing operations team and external contract manufacturers, putting in place manufacturing operations procedures for revision.
• Responsible for international technical contact between the Japanese parent company and several U.S. suppliers, bridging the communication gap between parties.

• Managed all engineering activities for product line at this manufacturer of rugged mobile computers used by field-deployed professionals.
• Led cross-functional team that coordinated marketing, production, PCB assembly, purchasing, component vendors and other engineering teams, meeting project goals. Determined resources, set priorities, and established.
• Designed company’s first Pentium and PCI-based rugged computer.
• Introduced signal integrity simulation and high-speed clocking techniques as necessary technologies for successful and competitive products
