We bring interactive toys to the global marketplace. Launched 2016. This is the most exciting project I have ever been a part of. Most baby toys are useless for babies who can’t yet sit up, or move around. We can shake a rattle in their face, they can bat a stuffed animal with their hands, or stare at a mobile. But until Yoee Baby, there were no toys designed for interactive play at this stage of life. A former Senior Vice President from Mattel said of Yoee Baby “...it’s one of the most innovative products I’ve seen.” It’s the reason we’ve been issued a number of patents. The play factor, the shared joy, the sense of bonding. These are the result of the design. Yoee Baby truly brings sensory development to playtime. In some ways, it’s a classic stuffed animal. But at it’s heart, it’s a tool disguised as a toy.

The Salida Citizen was a citizen journalism site. Cofounded with Trey Beck, The Salida Citizen was a fun side project that blossomed from citizen journalism to an experiment in city management and urban planning. The site has been replicated in other communities, and helped shape progressive politics in our valley in countless ways. Advertising revenues were driven back into the community. This simple blog format drove offline conversations across social platforms, which we tracked to help drive editorial content. It seems pedestrian and even quaint now, doesn't it? Everyone was so respectful, so unpolarized. My, how times have changed. It was a good idea at the time—and it was.

The Dangerous Collective is the catchall for our independent and corporate film company, as well as the evolution of DSD, our print and digital media house.

I always wanted an a glass conference room with a sliding wall made of bookshelves. When pulled back, said wall should then expose a vintage 1960's bar and cherry-red kitchen zone. C3 was all that and more. Specifically, C3 is a commercial building in downtown Salida, Colorado's largest historic district. We gutted the interior of the brick building, and rebuilt it from the ground up. C3 became a hot spot for gatherings, with an epic sound system, and rooftop deck. The low key alley entrance housed numerous entrepreneurs in an open floor plan workspace. From Patagonia's independent film producer to a whitewater park designer—the facility was a hotbed for whiskey-drinking creatives in the heart of the fourteeners district. C3 was also the Outside Magazine Television studio for the region. Laura and I sold the building in 2013. Too many good times to count.

We found two 1800's log cabins up a canyon and next to a creek meant for magazines. We dug down to hot water, made soaking pools (accommodating 6-12 people each), and created a destination resort. This project required design and photography, hammers and nails. Baby boomers from Boulder who were willing to pay a premium for private, semi-rustic experience with hand-made quilts and high thread count bedding. After a complete renovation, the cabins were booked most every night of the week as our clientele expanded to the internationale.' The water was 108 degrees, mountain goats floated on the cliffs above. The kids were happy. The dogs were happier. We had legendary parties because we owned our own private god damned hot springs. Yippy aye oh little soaker.

Have you ever owned a screeprinting company in Jackson Hole with all your friends? It's a fucking great time. After buying the small screen-printing company we tripled the staff, and added automatic presses before finally outgrowing our space in Jackson and moving over the hill to Driggs. I cut my teeth as a graphic designer by cutting miles of amberlith. HRG taught me the basics of running a business, and the importance of working quickly and efficiently as anl artist. Every commercial artist should work in a screen printing operation in their early twenties, sort of like being forced into the military in some quasi socialistic European empire country. You come out being able to fight off 10 men with a single dull X-Acto. It taught me about business relationships and the importance of listening. HRG taught me to go to a store and watch how people made purchases. It also taught me that on a powder day, only the worst kind of clients don't take their kids snowboarding, so choose your clients carefully.

Worked on a small team managing print media for numerous local and national accounts. Helped develop in house design department for early digital production system. This was in the heady days of Jackson Hole's advertising boom when numerous outdoor products companies moved their accounts to this small rad hamlet. We had ski passes. Housing was cheap. Grass was just getting good, though beer was still cheap. We were creative as hell, and CA told us everything about our peers out in the real world. Our directives were designed by our friends, living their best lives before that was a thing, just as it should be today.
