From 2022 to 2023 he served as a full-time Advisor to Hevolution Foundation, a new global funder of aging and longevity (“healthspan”) research, with an annual budget of up to $1 Billion. From 2010 to 2022 he ran Gotham Communications, a boutique strategic communications agency. Clients included Ambry Genetics (sold to Konica Minolta for $1 Billion), Advanced Cell Technology (re-branded as Ocata Therapeutics and sold to Astellas Pharma for $379 Million, as covered in the New York Times) and XO1 Ltd. (sold to Janssen Pharma/Johnson & Johnson), as well as hedge funds, venture capital firms and other investment funds in the US, Mexico and Europe with AUM ranging from $100 Million to over $2 Billion. Bill is a Registered Representative of Stonehaven, LLC - Member FINRA / SIPC. He holds the Uniform Securities Agent license (Series 63) and the Private Securities Offerings Representative license (Series 82). He has spoken at a variety of conferences, including Reuters’ HedgeWorld, IMN Alpha Hedge West and the Horasis Global Meeting. Bill's writings have been published in The Economist magazine and elsewhere.Having traveled to nearly 70 countries and worked on five continents, and with deep experience in East Asia and the Middle East, Bill has built an international network of contacts. He lives in Fairfield County, Connecticut, outside New York City, with his wife - a practicing physician - and their two young children.
