Desktop management including delivery lead for the Thin Client/Virtual Desktop solution for Allstate. Accountable for the Enterprise Base Image for Allstate, lifecycle of software on client workstations, and worked on the thin client as rollout lead during planning and pilot stages. Manage 26 individuals encompassing all workstation technologies. Work with multiple vendors as it relates to current and future workstation options.

Led evaluation of our Windows Server organization, including all aspects (Design, Build, Deploy, and Maintain) to ensure adequate staffing levels existed in both FTE and offshore partners. Partnered with HR to develop and execute business case for staffing reductions. Worked as a team member on the IS Sourcing Team to develop processes to assist the efforts.

I-Series, z-Series, and Transaction Systems :Manager of the teams responsible and accountable for the design and planning in the z-Series, i-Series, and transaction systems (CICS, MQ) areas within Infrastructure Services. Key accountabilities included leadership of the skilled technicians, budget planning, contract negotiations, and expense management. Key deliverables included in the past year: reducing iSeries footprint (and negotiating new leases on 4-i595’s), planning reduction of zSeries (mainframes) MIPS, upgrading the Allstate corporation to a more current CICS release, and re-negotiating software and hardware contracts on all platforms.

Drove the redesign of the Infrastructure Services organization into a Functional Operation Model. Using industry best practices, delivered a sweeping reorganization of the department by function, dividing work and resources into key areas: Operations, Deployment, and Design/Planning. To accomplish this we developed RACI charts for every team and function to ensure all teams were accounted for, assisting with the design of the key hand-offs between teams to ensure speed to delivery for our technology partners.

Manager of the first shift voice and data teams in the Network Operations Center (NOC). Additionally manage the NOC Consulting team and the Process/Compliance team. This group is responsible for the day-to-day operations and health of the network and voice operations. This team is the point of contact with the Allstate business when network (Voice and Data) disruptions occur. Accountabilities include budgeting, personnel, vendor relations / management, and future strategies impacting the NOC and other departments. Assist with incident resolution from a leadership perspective and partnering with other areas for process advancement Work with business and technology partners and vendors on a consistent basis. Also responsible for the Agency Support NOC team and its manager who reported to me, including staff in Strabane, Ireland.

Managed the team responsible for significant outage notification to Infrastructure Services’ clients. The team was engaged for all outages within the Allstate Enterprise, offering leadership and coaching during the event.Managed the team which developed the new Standardized Priority Scheme, implemented May, 2006 throughout the Allstate Enterprise. This team also completed development of the Service Level Management process – to create Service Level Agreements for the Enterprise. Liaison between the Ivantage group and Infrastructure Services teams, focused on the InterLink platform, used by Deerbrook Insurance. Verify and classify service variations, ensuring appropriate action is taken, in regard to both infrastructure and application. Ensuring appropriate levels of service as agreed are maintained and measuring variation from the agreement. Liaison between project teams and Infrastructure Services teams. Work to ensure proper communication and task assignments within the infrastructure services areas, to support the business requirements as they arise. Manage projects through involvement of Infrastructure Services. Knowledge of all major Infrastructure areas key to involvement. Major projects include Independent Agents, Interlink Migration to the Dallas Data Center, C.N.A. Merger Integration, and the New Business Model (Internet/Call Center/Agent Office quote, bind, & endorse policies)
