Managed 40 professional engineering and technical staff. Successfully performed as structural design engineer for the Congress Parkway bridge replacement project over the Metra Railroad in Chicago Illinois. Business responsibilities included the establishment of internal training guidelines nationwide and conducting training needs analysis. Selected as chairman of an internal committee to review and suggest changes to project reporting procedures and documents. At Sargent and Lundy, Mr. Epp worked in the structural department charged with the analysis and design of four nuclear power plants. Byron 1 and 2 as well as Braidwood 1 and 2, all four are 1175 MW power plants and are located in Illinois. Design, evaluation and rehabilitation of structural steel framing within the power plant structures were primary areas of responsibility.Mr. Epp was asked to participate with an internal team of knowledge leaders in the development of analysis and design standard used by other engineers in the Department.Similarly, Mr. Epp participated in "Quality Circles" that reviewed the work flow and other procedures of the Department and suggested improvements.
