Designed of automotive seat systems for initial Toyota Solara including metal, plastic, foam and trim utilizing a standardized Engineering Program Management system that included:• Maintaining timelines, resolving open issue, and issuing monthly design reports• CAD engineering of components and systems utilizing Toyota proprietary CAD software.• Manufacturing liaison between Toyota and our facilities to ensure manufacturing feasibility.

Managed all production preparation activities for a Just-In-Time, Lean manufacturing plant for seats systems for Toyota and General Motors. Multiple programs included metal frame manufacturing and trim assembly of seat systems. Customer contact for all plant issues including: • Reviewing designs to optimize manufacturing • Tracking prototype orders to completion• Resolving timing issues.

Performed quality-engineering activities for Toyota models including Camry, Corolla and Tacoma. Led cross-functional teams to improve quality by upgrading tooling, equipment, and processes. Resolved quality issues for processes including: • Metal stamping, MIG welding, resistance welding and painting.
