I established SNJ to assist Boards, owners, and management teams who see the value of having an outsider, without any preconceived notions regarding the company, conduct a full, or a focused, analysis of the firm. With the overall complexity of the enterprise in mind, my approach is to keep breaking the firm into smaller components. I evaluate how the pieces mesh and how they contribute to the whole.By following this process, I have been able to advise key stakeholders with a clear perspective resulting in: • Revealing a client’s sales had been dropping because Marketing was not attuned to the consumer’s changing needs and R&D had been misdirected• A member of the C-Suite was being replaced- using the very same job description as the previous hire. I was recruited by the Chairman of Gilat’s Board of Directors and the President of Gilat. Both individuals recognized that Gilat was a struggling entity; and, Spacenet’s business plan was not in line with Gilat’s objectives. Operational imperatives required a shift in market strategy, significant financial revisions, operational re-engineering.
